Drees & Sommer SE- The Cradle Düsseldorf
The wooden hybrid building The Cradle designed by HPP Architects demonstrates how architecture can make cities fit for the future. Project developer Interboden GmbH & Co. KG has set itself the goal of integrating as many Cradle to Cradle aspects as possible. This also means the building is designed as a material bank. In 50 years, The Cradle will not simply be torn down. It will be dismantled according to the principles of the circular economy and most of the material will be reused or high-quality recycled.
