Overview

Viva Eco Panels are custom-made, prefabricated straw and timber wall panels from Viva Living Homes — structural, insulated and ready to render or clad. Crafted from Australian-grown straw and timber, each panel combines wall structure, thermal performance and finish substrate in one factory-controlled unit. Designed for architects, builders, engineers and owner builders, the system delivers carbon-sequestering walls with documented engineering, fire testing and hygrothermal data — including suitability for bushfire-prone areas up to BAL-FZ.

BENEFITS
✓ Carbon-sequestering walls — straw locks carbon into the building fabric
✓ Bushfire-ready — tested suitable up to BAL-FZ with FRL 120/120/120
✓ Faster programs — structural panels installed in a day, lock-up in weeks
✓ Fewer trades — structure, insulation and substrate combined in one panel
✓ Low embodied carbon — Australian straw and timber, naturally sustainable
✓ Design freedom — rendered, clad or mixed finishes with deep window reveals
FEATURES
✓ Structural prefabricated straw and timber panels, custom-made
✓ Plumbing and electrical provisions roughed in per plans
✓ Exceptional thermal performance without bolt-on insulation layers
✓ Performance solutions, engineering, modelling and fire certificates
✓ Standard engineered details for tie-downs, junctions,  weights and fixings
✓ Predictable lead times and fixed-quote panels for cleaner programs

Insulation

Sustainable and eco-friendly building materials for insulation, like straw panels and wool, are increasingly favoured for their green attributes. Straw panels offer excellent insulation properties while being renewable, contributing to energy-efficient and sustainable construction. Wool insulation, derived from sheep’s fleece, is both biodegradable and thermally efficient, making it a valuable choice for environmentally responsible building practices.

Cladding

Sustainable cladding materials protect and define building exteriors while supporting lower-impact construction and long-term durability. Solutions such as fibre cement boards, strand woven bamboo, high-pressure laminates, aluminium composite panels, terracotta rainscreen systems, tropical hardwood paneling, plywood siding, and recycled wood-plastic composites can reduce embodied carbon, improve weather resistance, and contribute to healthier, more resilient building envelopes.

Partitions

Sustainable partition systems help shape flexible, efficient interior environments while supporting lower-impact construction. From demountable aluminium framing and compact laminate panels to bio-based boards and lightweight divider systems, partitions can improve space planning, acoustic separation and fire performance without the permanence of conventional walls. Modular and recyclable systems also support circular design principles by making spaces easier to adapt, reconfigure and upgrade over time.

Picture of Masonry

Masonry

Masonry construction uses bricks, blocks and stones, bound together with mortar to create long-lasting, load-bearing structures. Contemporary masonry systems combine traditional robustness with improved thermal, acoustic and environmental performance through optimised mixes, lighter autoclaved aerated concrete and bio-based or recycled content. These solutions support durable, low-maintenance walls and envelopes for residential, commercial and infrastructure projects while contributing to lower operational energy use.
