Australian Sustainable Hardwoods (ASH)

Australian Sustainable Hardwoods (ASH) is a privately owned Australian timber mill and manufacturer. Established over 30 years ago, ASH has grown to become one of the largest hardwood mills in Australia; and Australia's largest hardwood manufacturer. Utilising automation and economy of scale, ASH operates 6 on-site manufacturing lines to value add timber from log to finished product. These include moulding, laminating, finger-jointing, deep splitting, set length docking and mass-timber production. Timber species include Victorian ash, American Oak and Mountain Grey Gum.

Sustainability

Here at ASH, we are committed to sustainability and we don’t like to do things half-hearted so 100% of the timber we source is from regrowth forests and 100% of each log received is used. It is important that ASH sources its timber from certified, regrowth forests to ensure the best practices in sustainable harvesting are adhered to. But what makes timber so extraordinarily unique is its ability to capture carbon from the atmosphere and store it for life in an attractive material.'
