When shipping your order from our warehouse we endeavour to deliver your goods promptly and at the lowest possible prices. We take care to package your goods carefully so that they arrive to you safely. We also maintain trading accounts with many of the major freight and companies in Australia including Toll Express, TNT, Fastway, and of course Australia Post. Depending on the item(s) purchased, we will select the company most able to deliver the goods to that destination in a careful and timely manner.
Shipping prices are displayed and are based on the quantity of items you select. Shipping prices are calculated to be as low as possible and only to cover our costs of packaging, handling and delivery. As such, there may be occasions where the cost on the website does not cover the cost to deliver the good to you. This, for instance, may be because you are in a remote region. In these instances, we reserve the right to adjust the shipping price. We will only do this with your permission, we will never charge you more than you have authorised.

If we are shipping to a private home or residence we will ask for an Authority to Leave (ATL). You can specify where the courier can place the item such as "leave by the front door" when you place your order either online or over the phone.
On many products, you will also be offered optional insurance at the time when you place your order. This can be either online or over the phone. We recommend that with larger and more expensive items that you select this option. Sometimes, items can get damaged or, even lost in transit and having insurance is always peace of mind that your goods are covered. If you don't select Optional Insurance, your goods will not be insured during transit.
To Select Shipping INsurance you will need to check the box on the page where you add your product to the cart. Shipping Insurance is currently offered on selected products only.
We regularly ship our product overseas. We have customers from right across the US, UK and Europe. We’ve shipped to Thailand, Romania, Fiji, The Philippines, New Zealand, USA, Israel and South Africa.
If you’re a customer living outside Australia and want us to deliver a shade sail, umbrella or other product to you, just drop us an email telling us what it is you’re interested in and we’ll get to work to find the quickest and most cost effective way to get it to you.
Shop with confidence at Shade Australia. Your complete satisfaction is our number one goal. If you purchase an item from us and it isn’t what you’d hoped, you can return the goods to us within 7 days of purchase for a full refund. The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of by the customer. This policy extends to all our items with the exception of made-to-order items or individually screen-printed items. Also, ex-demo, second-hand or damaged stock will be sold with a different returns policy, usually set as a one-off policy. You should check to ensure that you are happy to purchase these goods on the basis they are offered prior to purchase. Naturally, the goods must be undamaged, in new condition and be returned in their original packaging. If goods are returned damaged or without packaging, Shade Australia reserves the right to reject those goods or to apply a restocking fee. We don't accept items for return after the customer has had them in their possession for more than 30 days.
If you are returning an item it is a good idea to call us and let us know it's coming. This will help make the process go more smoothly.

• If you are unable to arrange for the item(s) to be picked up by a courier you can call our office on 1800 155 233 and we can organise for the freight company to come by and collect the goods. Please note that we cannot specify an exact time for pick up. We also note that often-times the return pickup cost is greater than the delivery cost. This is beyond our control. This cost of pickup will be deducted from the final refund given once the goods are returned and inspected before putting them back into stock.
• If the Goods arrive damaged then the customer should immediately contact us and report the situation. We request that you send photos. In this instance, we will contact the freight company and arrange at our cost to have the goods picked up and returned to us.
1. Collection of your personal information
Shade Australia will collect and hold your personal information in a fair and lawful manner, and not in an unreasonably intrusive way. Please note that we do not store credit card information, this is processed through a 3rd Party, being either our Credit Card Merchant, The Commonwealth Bank of Australia or, PayPal. In the event a credit card is provide to Shade Australia over the telephone we destroy this credit card information by shredding when the transaction is complete.
Where you do not wish to provide us with your personal information, we may not be able to provide you with requested goods or services.

Shade Australia collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information to:
a) Provide you with our goods and services;
b) Manage and administer those goods and services, including account opening procedures;
c) Communicate with you, including (but not limited to), emailing you tax invoices, dispatch and tracking information, returns and exchange authorisations;

e) Maintenance and management of Product Warrantees

Shade Australia further protects personal information by restricting access to personal information to those who need access to do their job. Physical, electronic and managerial procedures have been employed to safeguard the security and integrity of your personal information. Shade Australia does not collect sensitive information.
Online purchases are conducted using secure 256 bit Encryption of sensitive credit card information. We use a 3rd Party, being either our Credit Card Merchant, The Commonwealth Bank of Australia or, PayPal to process online transactions and do not record your credit card details. If, however, you choose to set up an account on the Shade Australia website to make future transactions quicker your details will be encryipted and stored on our secure server. You can update or delete these details at any time.
When taking orders over the telephone you may provide us with a credit card number in order to complete your purchase. After the transaction is complete we destroy the record of the credit card number by shredding.
6. Direct marketing and Opting Out
Like most business, marketing is important to Shade Australia's continued success. We believe we have a unique range of products and services that we provide to customers at a high standard. We therefore like to stay in touch with customers and let them know about new opportunities. We may provide you with information about new products, services and promotions.
You may opt out at any time if you no longer wish to receive commercial messages from us.
All our newsletters contain a link to unsubscribe. You will not receive newsletters from us again if you choose to unsubscribe. You also have the option of emailing at firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of our Customer Service Team will unsubscribe you if you provide them with the email address that is subscribed. In order to make our emails more relevant and useful to you, our servers may receive a confirmation when you open an email from us. You can also make this request by contacting our General Manager.
You will be included in our email newsletter mailing list (which includes special offers, competitions, new product arrival alerts and other communication related to our services or the products we offer) if you subscribe to our newsletter or if you make a purchase from us or have requested that we notify you of an items expected arrival and we expect to receive other items that are similar or complementary or if you make an inquiry with us.

Our Websites are not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information not entered by visitors. However, our site may log certain kinds of non-identifying site usage data, such as the number of hits and visits to our sites. This information is used for internal purposes by technical support staff to provide better services to the public and may also be provided to others.
On the Shade Australia website we use a 3rd Party service that allows you to immediately ask us a question while browsing the site. It also allows us to say hi to you and ask if there is anything we can help you with. We find most customers find this a useful service. You have no obligation what so ever to use this service or reply if we say hello.
8. Accessing and correcting your personal information
You may contact our General Manager to request access to the personal information that we hold about you and/or to make corrections to that information, at any time. On the rare occasions when we refuse access, we will provide you with a written notice stating our reasons for refusing access. We may seek to recover from you reasonable costs incurred for providing you with access to any of the personal information about you held by us.
Shade Australia is not obliged to correct any of your personal information if it does not agree that it requires correction and may refuse to do so. If Shade Australia refuses a correction request, we will provide you with a written notice stating our reasons for refusing.

Shade Australia may disclose your personal information to companies that are associated with us overseas to assist the provision of the services and other purposes described in this policy.
